In a conference, Matthew Cederquist revealed details and speculations about the upcoming game. He said, “Yes!”, during the interview about the game letting you import game files. He further said, “Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work, and we kind of shoved it in and it worked! And we were like, ‘okay, that’s the best feature ever”.
In conclusion, they thought giving the option of importing your save games would be a good way for fans to relive the nostalgia. The interview went deep into talking about the increased visuals and audio aspects of the game.
