The latest weekly reset for Destiny 2 has just arrived, and with the new reset, there’s some fresh content for the Season of the Risen, such as complete raid challenges, crush Hive Ghosts, and more.
Destiny 2 is an action MMO with a single evolving world that you and your friends can join anytime, anywhere, absolutely free. Dive into the world of Destiny 2 to explore the mysteries of the solar system and experience responsive first-person shooter combat. Unlock powerful elemental abilities and collect unique gear to customize your Guardian’s look and playstyle.
Even though Destiny 2 is free to play, Bungie sometimes releases an expansion pack in the form of DLCs to keep up with the demand of the player base. With a new DLC comes new content and new challenges. These Challenges reset every week as players progress through the Season.
In the recent April 12 weekly reset, five Seasonal Challenges will reward everyone with Challenger EXP and Bright Dust upon completion. While there are only five challenges added this week, just about all of them will take hours to complete.
Fortunately, most of these challenges also give massive XP and Bright Dust payouts, making it easier to reach Season Rank 100 or finish your Artifact unlocks. Some of the objectives include players running weapon calibrations and completing Vow of the Disciple challenges. This guide will discuss all the challenges in week 8 of the “season of the risen.”
All upcoming Seasonal Challenges in Destiny 2 Season of the Risen week 8
Prevent Lucent Hive from resurrecting by crushing their Ghosts. You have to crush 100 Hive Ghosts for this challenge. We recommend you farm a strike on Savathun’s Throne World for this challenge. Clear out the strike until your reach the barge section, then restart the strike. Repeat this couple of times until you have crushed 100 ghost spirits.
The crushed Spirits challenge will reward you with 25,000 XP.
Vow of the Disciple Challenge
Complete a Vow of the Disciple raid challenge in Savathun’s Throne World and acquire a raid weapon recipe. Vow of the Disciple features four different challenges, one for each encounter. To complete a raid recipe, you must extract Resonance materials from five raid weapons of the same type.
The chest after the final boss lets you purchase one Resonance weapon each week on your account, meaning this will take five weeks at most. You can also activate a hidden final chest to earn an additional Resonance weapon each week. But the weapon will be Random.
The Vow of the Disciple Challenge will reward you with 25,000 XP.
Reach Power Level 1560 by earning pinnacle rewards. To help boost this process, Bungie will be holding the Iron Banner Crucible activity starting with an April 12 weekly reset. Other options include playlist activities, Nightfall, and Wellspring 100k score, alongside the Vow of the Disciple raid.
The Pinnacle Challenge will reward you with 100,000 XP and 300 Bright Dust.
Calibrate glaives, hand cannons, and rocket launchers. You’ll need 180 kills in total. Since glaive isn’t that good, try farming hand canon kill instead. PvP kills grant more progress.
You can also farm Lost Sectors to get this done quickly. Savathun’s Throne World features Lost Sectors with nearly 100 enemies per sector. Get your Hand Cannon, then run a Lost Sector a few times to finish this challenge.
The Seasonal Calibration Challenge will reward you with 50,000 XP and 150 Bright Dust.
Acquire the Serpentine Skin ornament for Reckless Endangerment. Reckless Endangerment weapon is the seasonal ritual weapon everyone can get from either Zavala, Lord Shaxx, or Drifter. The Serpentine Skin can be acquired from Drifter in the Tower after reaching Rank 16 twice.
The Serpentine Skin Challenge will reward you with 100,000 XP and 300 Bright Dust.
That’s all the weekly challenges and rewards for week 8 of the Season of the Risen. This is the extra bit of work that everyone has to put up with, which comes in the first ten weeks of every season. The ongoing Season 16 only has a couple of weeks left until these objectives stop coming altogether.
