What is Repute?

Every season Bungie releases a series of seasonal quests to progress throughout the season. Similarly, with the season of the plunder, they also released a series of quests tied to the seasonal vendor called star chart. But there’s a catch, to progress through these seasonal quests, you must increase your rank with the star chart.

This is where the repute comes in. You can use repute to upgrade your rank on the star chart and progress through the seasonal quest. In addition, the star chart has other additional modifiers. For example, you will get more glimmer when opening a treasure chest in the treasure hunt quest. Additionally, you can focus your umbral engram in the start chart to get high-stat armor like the war table.

As mentioned earlier, you must complete weekly quests to progress through the season. You will get a certain amount of repute every week while completing these weekly quests. As of now, you can get only 2 repute every week to rank up your star chart. So it might take a while before fully upgrading your seasonal vendor.

The seasonal quest will progress bit by bit at the start of every weekly reset. First, you need to kill a champion and loot the treasure chest to get an artifact. After killing this weekly treasure champion and completing the weekly quest, you will get one repute. Then, after putting the artifact on the table, you will receive another weekly repute.
