Here is a complete tier list for all the characters in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles.
The Blockbuster anime series now has a game for its fans to enjoy. Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will take you back to the emotional moments of the movie Mugen Train. The game will let you play as Tanjiro as you take on various enemies throughout the game’s story.
The game has around 18 characters to choose from and more to be added as DLC. It can be tough to select characters when playing the game online or locally against your friends. So below, we have made a complete tier list for all the characters in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: The Hinokami Chronicles.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Characters Tier List
There are a total of 18 characters, with six more coming as DLC as time progresses. Of those 18 characters, six are academy variants, leaving us with 12 unique characters in the game. In fact, all of the 12 characters’ special moves and styles are from anime and manga. Furthermore, we have made a complete tier list below to understand better which character you should play.
|S-tier (Best)||Kyojuro Rengoku, Hinokami Tanjiro, Giyu Tomioka|
|A-tier (Good)||Sakonji, Sabito,Shinobu, Nezuko, Zenitsu Agatsuma|
|B-tier (Average)||Inosuke Hashibira, Makomo|
|C-tier (Not Recommend)||Water Tanjiro, Murata|
Giyu, Rengoku, Hinokami Tanjiro all make it in our S-Tier list for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. They have skills that make them the best characters to use and play in the game. To begin, Giyu is of the most balanced characters in Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles thanks to his solid defence and better counter. If you can parry enemies easily, Giyu would be the perfect character for you to play. Giyu is the best when you go against enemies who like to spam moves. You can easily use his parry and deal tones of damage using his Level three combo.
Next up on our list is Hinokami Tanjiro. The original Tanjiro, which only uses water-based attacks, is weaker than Hinokami Tanjiro. What makes Hirokami Tanjiro great is that he packs a move that can cause instant break the guard of an opponent. However, this will cause you two-meter bars, but this can give you a great advantage to do some rapid damage with some good combos. His three-hit combo is one of the best in the game and can do massive damage making him one of the characters in our S tier list.
The last character to make it to our list of S-Tier characters is Rengoku. Rengoku is one of the most balanced characters in the game. His fifth form: Flame Tiger, can do a lot of damage in a small amount of time. He also has the fastest startup moves in this game. Rengoku has ranged combos which can be very effective when playing against an enemy who prefers close combat. If you manage to hit the DP move of Rengoku, he can be deadly in a match. In conclusion, Rengoku is one of the best characters in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, and he makes his way into our S-Tier List.
All the characters mentioned in A-Tier can be like S-Tier characters if played well with enough skill. Talking about skill, Sakonji is a character who will demand skill from the user. Sakonji is a great character, thanks to his great offence. He can do massive damage with his moves if you spam them enough with your moves. He can also break guards using his wake-up move twice.
Shinobu, the doctor, is a good character to use thanks to her unique abilities. She quickly makes her way to our A-Tier list thanks to her poison-fused and deadly combos, which can easily give an edge when fighting battles.
Sabito is also one of our A-Tier characters who can be compelling if you use him well. He has two powerful attacks Third Form Flowing Dance Shadows of Dawn and Eighth fall: Waterfall Basin, which can do massive damage. Sabito works just like the quote “the best defence is a good offence”. You can use the wake-up move and deal a lot of damage in quick succession with quick combos. Keep in mind when you combo with Sabito’s move, make sure to hold down on L1 or LT to do more damage.
Zenistu is a speedy and robust character whose moves are very tough to block or counter. Moreover, as you might see know, Zenitsu’s moves are lightning quick, and his combos require timing and precision. His Ultimate move is his iconic First Form Thunderclap and Flash. If you use Zenitsu well, he can be one the most powerful characters in the game, but he is the A-Tier for us.
Nezuko has a broad skill set of moves, and she uses her claws as well as Blood Demon Art moves. Her claws can be her disadvantage as if you go one on one against a sword, and the blade-holding character will win most clashes. She is at her best if you use her vast skill set of moves. His aerial combos and close-range moves can be deadly as well. All around, she can be a perfect character if you use her moves well.
Coming down to the last two Tiers, both of them, according to our speculations, have two characters in them. Inosuke is just like he was in the anime here, and he has normal moves along with high-damage combos. However, saying all that, Insonuke is more valuable as an assist character as he can push back enemies. The only thing that separates him from the A tier is his speed. Demon Slayer demands speed close up with an enemy, where Inosuke does not do great.
Makomo is the opposite of Inosuke, she lacks strength, but she is pretty fast, in all Honesty. Her skills are helpful, along with her light combos. Makomo did not make it to the A tier because she lacked strength and damage in her attacks.
The C-Tier is not a tier you recommend using as these characters are not the best ones to use in the game. However, it is fun to use them and play them to try and see how they feel. The base version of Tanjiro and Murata makes it to our list of C Tier characters. For Tanjiro, his Hinokami version is much better than the base Tanjiro version who uses water breathing. As for Murata, he is an okay character overall. We would doubt seeing him as the first choice for anyone because of the way developers have decided to build him. Water Tanjiro and Murata are very similar characters, and they lack the punch that a good character has, which is why they are in our C Tier list.
