Cyberpunk 2077 will get multiple huge patches in January and February of 2021 that will solve most of the issues on last-gen consoles and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020, after multiple times being delayed. The game’s reception has been mixed among the gaming community and critics. On one hand, players are praising the beautifully built world and story while others are talking about the frequent bugs and performance issues that are plaguing most people’s games.

Last-gen console owners are facing the biggest issues of them all. Cyberpunk 2077 is running very poorly on the Xbox one x and the PS4. Textures are not loading properly and the game looks pixelated according to some.

CD PROJEKT RED already released patch 1.04 that fixed some of the issues with the game but the bugs and problems are far from over. Recently Cyberpunk 2077 official Twitter released a statement issuing an apology and stating their intended actions in the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter post explained:

Apology:

In the first part of the post CD PROJEKT RED apologized for not properly showing the game on last-gen consoles. According to them, this prevented last-gen console owners from making a more informed decision.

Two Huge Patches Coming in 2021:

In the second paragraph, we learn that CD PROJEKT RED aims to fix bugs and crashes and improve the overall experience going forward. The next update to Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming in the next 7 days. We will also be getting two large patches in January and February 0f 2021. These huge patches will fix most of the problems on last-gen consoles. According to CD PROJEKT RED, this will not make Cyberpunk 2077 look like it’s running on a high-end PC but the experience will be better than now.

Refund:

Players who are not happy with the performance on consoles or do not wish to wait for updates to come will be eligible for a refund. Players are suggested to use the PSN or XBOX refund system for digital copies. For physical copies of the game, players should try to get a refund at the store it was brought from. If the above-mentioned refund systems fail then you need to contact [email protected]. The expiration date for the refund policy will stay valid until December 21st, 2020.

PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and patches fixing all the problems that are currently in the game.
