Cyberpunk 2077 gets a “functioning” Third-Person Camera Mod

The modding community has been busy with CDPR’s latest title Cyberpunk 2077, and they have released the first-ever third-person camera mod for Cyberpunk.

This mod, made by Jelle Bakker, will allow players to move the camera back from the default first-person settings, letting players see their character’s outfit completely while strolling down the streets of Night City.

To install this mod, you’ll first need to install Cyber Engine Tweaks through which you will be able to access the console and debug menu. Then download the TPP mod for your character’s gender, as apparently the character’s neck size is determined by the gender you’ve selected. Extract the file into your \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 directory, and that’s it! (You no longer need Cheat Engine to be installed for this mod to work.)

When you launch Cyberpunk 2077, pressing ‘B’ will let you switch the camera mode to 3rd-person. There are four different camera views that you can cycle through by pressing B.

While the mod, which is still in progress, enables the third-person view in Cyberpunk, the animations are still very janky and don’t expect to play the full game with this mod enabled. Cyberpunk was designed for the first-person perspective from the ground-up, so the walking, combat and all the other animations don’t really work well, at least as of now.

But it is still a very cool demo, which you can try out yourselves here.
