VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Japan Stage 1 Masters is the main event after the three regional challengers series tournaments. It is a Double Elimination bracket tournament where each match is best-of-3 and the Grand finals are best-of-5.

Crazy Raccoon and Absolute JUPITER both qualified for the Masters from Challengers 2. Both teams had strong starts to the tournament winning both of their matches 2-0 against each. They first faced against each other in the upper bracket finals where Absolute JUPITER kept their perfect winning streak and beat Crazy Raccoon 2-0. Crazy Raccoon went on to the lower bracket finals to win it and now faces Absolute JUPITER in the grand finals for a rematch.

The first map was Bind picked by Absolute JUPITER. After a competitive half, Crazy Raccoon was slightly ahead. At the end of the second half, the score was 11-12 in favor of CR, with AJ intending to get it to 12-12 to try to win in overtime. But CR with their precision attacks got the last round they needed and secured victory. The next two maps; Ascent and Haven were absolutely one-sided. Crazy Raccoon showed their prowess and took revenge for the 0-2 defeat in the upper bracket finals with an astounding 3-0 sweep in the Grand final.

Mapwise scores:

Bind
Crazy Raccoon 13-11 Absolute JUPITER
Ascent
Crazy Raccoon 13-4 Absolute JUPITER
Haven
Crazy Raccoon 13-5 Absolute JUPITER

So after this 3-0 sweep, Crazy Raccoon came back strong from the lower bracket and were crowned champions of VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Japan Stage 1 masters.
