Over the years we got a few Contra games, but none of it managed to match up with the original games. Contra Returns will feature the same 2D side-scrolling gameplay. In addition to a visual upgrade to match with the current age. The game will also have over 200 levels and new game modes. Such as 1v1, 3v3, and etc.

Timi Studios have also posted a trailer of the game. Showing off the gameplay, with its more modern graphics and features. Some fans, especially retro enthusiasts would have liked a more 8-bit era-inspired art style.

Nevertheless, almost all of us have spent our childhood playing the original Contra games in some way or form. And after so long the series is making a comeback with Contra Returns. And unlike the last ones, this game will be much more true to the OG Contra games.

Furthermore, pre-registration for Contra Returns is now available on Google Play and Appstore. Hence, don’t miss out on the pre-registration of Contra Returns as you’ll be rewarded with in-game items.

Contra first released as an arcade game way back in 1987 and on NES the following year. The game’s simple yet difficult game brought immense success and was something unique during its time.
