VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Game Changers North America Series 1 was first announced in February of this year. The aim of this tournament was to create new opportunities for the Women in the Esports scene of VALORANT.

32 Female teams from the North America region participated in the qualifiers from which the top 8 advanced to the main event to fight for the $50,000USD prize pool. The main event is a double-elimination bracket tournament with the matches being best-of-3 and finals being best-of 5.
Cloud9 white won both their matches 2-0 in the Open qualifiers and advanced to the main event. In the main event, they kept their clean sheet winning all their games 2-0, and advanced to the finals. Cloud9 white, being in the upper bracket also had a map advantage that they carried onto the grand finals. CLG Red won both their qualifiers games 2-0 and made it to the main event. They lost in the upper bracket quarterfinals but won the lower bracket finals and made it to the grand finals to face C9 white.
The first map was Icebox picked by CLG Red. The first half was very competitive with c9 inching ahead. The second half was similarly competitive but c9 managed to clinch the map in the end. In Haven, c9 lost the pistol round and the subsequent eco round. But afterwards they went on a winstreak. In the second half they won the few rounds they needed and took the map as well as the series.

Thus Cloud9 White are the champions of VCT Game Changers North America Series 1 with a flawless run without dropping a single map. They are also the first female team to win a major VALORANT tournament.
