The next season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its battle royale has been delayed. The announcement was made on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, saying “now is not the time.”
“While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time.”
“We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates. Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice, and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.” the announcement reads.
Activision initially planned to release the new season of Modern Warfare and Warzone on June 3. However, with the ongoing protests in the US, the devs decided to postpone the release date. Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 update has also been halted for this reason.
Many fans were hyped for season 4, as it will be bringing back fan-favorite Captain Price as an operator. The next season will also feature new guns, maps, and a new battle pass.
Activision still hasn’t confirm the new release date for season 4, but hopefully as the situation gets better we will be getting the new update sometime in June.
