Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 2 is coming and here you can find everything you need to know about it.
Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 1 are both at their end with only about 7 days remaining. The new season will drop with a big bang and also bring a lot of new content to the games. Recently Treyarch released a blog post letting us know about everything that’s coming for Season 2.
In the new season, we will have new operators, maps, weapons, Zombie Outbreak mode, Warzone POIs, and much more.

Release Date:
According to the official blog post, the release date for Call of Duty Cold War is on 23 February while Warzone is on 24th February. The official blog post also mentioned the time the updates will be dropping. It is given below-
“For Season Two, Black Ops Cold War will receive a rolling update on February 23 scheduled between 9 PM and 11 PM PT, and Warzone will receive a rolling update on February 24 between 9 PM and 11 PM PT.”
Call of Duty Cold War:
Four New Operators:
Call of Duty Cold War will have four new operators and they are Naga: Warsaw Pact, Maxis: NATO, Wolf: NATO, and Rivas: NATO. Among these new operators Naga will release with the update and the other three operators will release sometime during the next season. Below are all of the operator images in sequence as mentioned above.
Six New Weapons:
Along with the four operators, Call of Duty Cold War will also introduce four new weapons. The first of them is the FARA 83: Assault Rifle. This weapon will launch with the release of the new update. It will apparently have one of the fastest fire rates and outstanding damage range.
LC10: SMG will also release with Season 2 of Call of Duty Cold War. Players can obtain the blueprint for free in Cold War and by reaching Tier 31 of the battle pass as a free reward.
We will also have two melee weapons and they are the Machete and E-Tool: Melee. Another Crossbow called R1 Shadowhunter: Special is also going to launch during the next season. ZRG 20mm: Sniper is a heavy sniper that will come out anytime during Season 2.
New Zombies Experience: Outbreak:
A new large-scale Zombies game mode called Outbreak will launch with Call of Duty Cold War Season 2. Four players will have to take on a hoard of zombies and complete objectives like hunting down elite enemies using a satellite tracker, escorting a Rover that detects dimensional portals, or holding out against zombies in a confined Dark Aether zone.
Players can either extract after the objectives are done or go into the Dark Aether portal to a new region for more rewards. More details on this will be dropping soon.
New Field Upgrade: Frenzied Guard:
A new Field Upgrade called Frenzied Guard will be available for Cold War Zombies. The description for this field upgrade is,
“Upon activation, all enemies will immediately target the Frenzied Guard user for a brief period, during which time only Armor will take damage. This can be a game-changer when fellow Operators are surrounded by the undead masses, as they will turn their attention away from those in peril and towards the armored savior.”
Players can also use Aethrium Crystals to upgrade the Field Upgrade with new modifiers.
New Ammo Mod- ShatterBlast:
The Shatter Blast Ammo Mod will make all bullets deal explosive damage.
Two New Skills Tiers:
With the help of the new Refined and Flawless Aetherium Crystals, players can upgrade all Skills to Tier IV and V. More details about them soon.

Four Multiplayer Maps:
The four new multiplayer maps are called Apocalypse (6v6) (Launch Week), Golova (Multi-Team) (In-Season), Mansion (2v2, 3v3) (In-Season), Miami Strike (6v6) (In Season).
New Multiplayer Modes:
Three new multiplayer game modes are also coming with Season 2. These are Gun Game (Free-For-All) (Launch Week), Stockpile (6v6) (In Season), and Hardpoint (Multi-Team) (In Season).
Gun game has players progress through a pre-determined set of 20 weapons with each kill. The first player to complete the cycle of all weapons wins. Stockpile mixes Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint in a fast-paced game mode. Players need to kill enemies, collect their dog tags and deposit them in a stockpile. The team that reaches the goal first wins.
Hardpoint is described as, “10 squads of four with capturing and defending Hardpoint hills around the map that rotate every 120 seconds”. The first team to reach 500 points wins.
New Tools of the Trade:
Some new things such as a handheld minigun called Scorestreak: Death Machine (Launch Week), Vehicle: Sedan (Launch Week), and Vehicle: Light Truck (Launch Week) will all be coming with the release of Season 2.
Season Challenges (Launch Week):
20 new multiplayer challenges and 20 new Zombies challenges will be unlocked in Season 2.
Prestige Levels:
Four new Prestige levels will be available for players to grind in Call of Duty Cold War Season
1. Level 50: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Weapon Blueprint, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
2. Level 100: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
3. Level 150: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip
4. Level 190: All Season Challenges Available
5. Level 200: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Battle Pass Tier Skip, Master Prestige Calling Card
6. Level 250-1,000: New Prestige Key every 50 levels
Warzone Content:
All of the previously mentioned weapons and operators will be available for Warzone as well. Along with the things from Cold War, Warzone will have two new POIs and game modes.
New Points of Interest:
A new cargo tanker Vodianoy POI will be available near the port of Verdansk. Another POI may be revealed during the season.
New Game Mode: Exfiltration:
The Exfiltration game mode will release sometime during Season 2. In this mode, players will have to fight their way to the radio and hold onto it for a sufficient amount of time.
New Game Mode: Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme:
Resurgence game mode is getting a revamped makeover in the new season. The new Rebirth extreme mode will be upping the max player count to 90.
