XM4 is a rifle with similar qualities as the M4A1 from Modern Warfare (2019). Both guns have excellent damage outputs. However, a slightly slower fire rate makes the XM4 different from the M4A1. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. XM4 had a high pick rate besides the Bren due to its capability to dominate long-range gunfights. With the launch of Warzone Pacific Season 2, these two guns dominated the long-range meta while other assault rifles and L.M.G.s struggled to compete with these two.
The weapon was significantly nerfed with the March 2, 2022 update. The neck damage multiplier of the gun was decreased, making it a little weak in long-range gunfights compared to its peak form.
