Best UGR Loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded

UGR is a compact Sub-Machine Gun with excellent damage output potential at close-range encounters and is a new addition to the Warzone weapon pool. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on creating the optimal loadout for the UGR in Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded.

The UGR is the newest weapon added to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s weapon pool. It has the highest damage output in the S.M.G. category. It features a manageable recoil pattern that will be easy for newer and veteran players to control. The weapon is of Russian origin and super viable in close-range gunfights.

Heavily inspired by the APS Underwater Rifle, UGR is an underwater frogman S.M.G. chambered for the 120 mm speargun cartridge. This gun can accommodate rush playstyles. The gun became famous for its use in the underwater campaign mission “Into The Deep” of Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013). The weapon is loosely based on STG44.

UGR, due to its bullet velocity and high damage output, is very much viable in close-range gunfights, especially on a map like Rebirth Island, where close-range gunfights await players in every corner.

UGR might receive a nerf in the forthcoming portion of the season 3 Classified Arms update. The damage range might get a reduction. Due to its high firing rate, this SMG might find itself in a good position in the meta. With the Rebirth Island and Caldera rework, the S.M.G. will surely help players dominate close-range gunfights with its excellent damage output.

How to Unlock the UGR in CoD Warzone

The UGR is a part of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s (BOCW) weapon pool and can be unlocked by completing a simple challenge.

In Multiplayer (BOCW):

  • Kill an enemy revealed by your Spy Plane, UAV, or Field Mic with an SMG in 15 different completed matches.

In Warzone:

The best tip for this challenge would be to use the UAV in Warzone and push any player that is revealed in close proximity. Furthermore, using the single ping from the communications tower can also help towards the completion of this challenge. It would be better to use S.M.G.s from Black Ops Cold War’s weapon pool if using other weapons doesn’t count towards the challenge.

Best UGR Loadout

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 10.7” Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Grip

Equipping the 10.7″ Task Force increases effective damage range, bullet velocity, and strafe speed at the cost of high recoil. The GRU Suppressor can assist in offsetting some of these disadvantages by absorbing part of the recoil control while also keeping players invisible and improving bullet velocity and effective damage range.

The KGB Skeletal Stock is designed to improve speed while aiming or aim walking and also sprint to fire speed, which is extremely useful for medium-range engagements on Russian faction guns. To further increase overall movement speed and aim walking speed, the Tiger Team Spotlight is an excellent option provided if players can adjust to the decreased aiming stability and a visible flashlight while the weapon is equipped.

Lastly, the Serpent Grip increases sprint to fire speed and aim down sight time by 70%, which means players will require less time to engage in a gunfight. While it does worsen movement speed and reload speed by 8%, these are readily compensated by other attachments with high mobility stats.

Best Equipment & Perks for UGR Loadout

  • Secondary: Cooper Carbine (Vanguard) or Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
  • Tactical: Stim (Modern Warfare), or Heartbeat Sensor (Modern Warfare)
  • Lethal: Throwing knives (Modern Warfare), or Proximity Mine (Modern Warfare)
  • Perk – 1: Quick Fix, or E.O.D
  • Perk – 2: Overkill
  • Perk – 3: Amped, or Combat Scout

Quick Fix is the ideal perk for players constantly engaging in gunfights, enabling health regeneration when an enemy is killed. Opting for E.O.D. is also feasible to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.

Overkill as the second perk is a must. Players can carry an extra primary weapon in the secondary slot. Pairing Cooper Carbine or Kar98k with this S.M.G. will make the loadout more potent, and the secondary will help in handling both long to mid-distance gunfights with ease. Our Cooper Carbine loadout focuses on a long-range Assault Rifle build.

To swap between the weapons faster, Amped is the go-to. Faster switching between weapons will help in getting an edge over other players. Combat scout briefly highlights the whole team when an enemy player is shot.

As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. The Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby, and it will help players plan the next gunfight effectively. Throwing knives as lethal can be a lifesaver in a close gunfight.

It has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. Proximity mine can be opted out for throwing knives to watch flank when stationary.

All the latest UGR Buffs & Nerfs

The UGR did not receive any buffs or nerfs as it has been recently added to the game. The current state of the weapon is balanced, according to many players within the CoD community. If the situation arises, the gun might get more tweaks in future updates to compete with the S.M.G.s in the current meta.

All the S.M.G.s from Call of Duty: Warzone are different. They all excel in their fields depending on the build. However, many content creators, including FaZe Swagg, have expressed concern about the state of the weapon. UGR’s high damage output and mobility along with its manageable recoil, make the weapon broken in the right hands. The position of the weapon in the current meta can be determined in the coming weeks as more players get their hands on the weapon.

Other Alternatives to the UGR in the Current Meta

In the current meta, other alternatives to UGR are MP40 (Vanguard) and PPSh-41 (Vanguard). MP40 is an SMG that is considered to be a hip-fire monster and, in the same way, also performs as a mid-range support weapon. PPSh-41 is also a solid choice with a high fire rate, and it has a very low time to kill in close-range gunfights. Check out our MP40 and PPSh-41 loadout guide to create the perfect loadout for Warzone Season 5 Last Stand.
