Best SP-R 208 Loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded

Besides Kar98k, SP-R 208 is Modern Warfare’s one of the strongest Marksman Rifles. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on creating the best loadout for SP-R 208 in Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded.

Based on the Remington Model 700’s military rendition M24 SWS, SP-R 208 is a long action bolt marksman rifle chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO short cartridge. This gun can accommodate both sniper and rush playstyles. It has the cleanest iron sight in the game, making it ideal to use without an optic if the necessity arises.

The gun first appeared as the part of the Season six battle pass, it was unlocked upon reaching tier 15. With its release, the gun became a part of the Warzone’s sniper meta as it had the highest damage output after Kar98k. Its fast aiming down sight speed helped the rifle quickly become a fan favorite as it catered to both rush and sniper playstyles.

Since the start of Season 6, the SP-R 208 had already piqued the interest of the community due to its excellent bullet velocity, high damage profile, and unrivaled accuracy. The SP-R 208 received positive feedback from pro players and content creators, but it caused divisiveness among the Warzone community. Several Reddit threads and Tweets from players specifically highlighted critical issues with its speed and maneuverability. In response, Activision decided to nerf the rifle significantly.

How to Unlock the SP-R 208 in CoD Warzone

The SP-R 208 was introduced in the Season Six Battle Pass and has become one of Warzone’s most popular weapons. Players who began playing after Season 6 can still obtain the SP-R 208 by completing the following in-game challenge:

Using a Sniper or Marksman rifle, get two longshot kills that are headshots in 5 different matches.

Getting longshot kills will be a breeze with the right setup. Our Kar98k loadout build focuses on a strong sniper rifle option to easily complete this challenge. The easiest way to complete this challenge would be to only take long-range gunfights and finish players off as soon as they are downed to secure the kill.

Best SP-R 208 Loadout

Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
Barrel: SP-R 26″
Optic: Solozero SP-R 28mm
Laser: Tac Laser
Magazine: .338 Lapua Mag

Anyone familiar with the weapon pool in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare should know how powerful the monolithic suppressor is, regardless of the weapon. The extra power makes any weapon more viable in long-range gunfights. The main disadvantage of choosing a monolithic suppressor is a slower walking speed when aiming and a slower A.D.S. (aim down sight) speed.

The SP-R 26″ barrel is the way to go for the SP-R 208. It will improve damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil control significantly. The sole drawback is the slower aim down sight and movement speed, which will be rectified later with other attachments.

The Solozero SP-R 28mm and the TAC Laser are both additions that significantly boost the Marksman Rifle’s aim down sight speed. A faster aim down sight speed will enable players to snap onto opponents and secure effortless kills quickly. In addition, the optic will provide a 6x magnification for more excellent long-range vision.

Finally, .338 Lapua Mag will provide players with extra ammunition and increased bullet velocity. More ammunition will lessen the problem of frequent reloading for players.

Best Equipment & Perks for SP-R 208 Loadout

Secondary: Cooper Carbine (Vanguard) or MP40 (Vanguard)

Tactical: Stim (Modern Warfare), or Heartbeat Sensor (Modern Warfare)

Lethal: Throwing knives (Modern Warfare), or Proximity Mine (Modern Warfare)

Perk – 1: Quick Fix, or E.O.D

Perk – 2: Overkill

Perk – 3: Amped, or Combat Scout

Quick Fix is the ideal perk for players constantly engaging in gunfights, enabling health regeneration when an enemy is killed. Opting for E.O.D. is also feasible to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.

Overkill as the second perk is a must; players can carry an extra primary weapon in the secondary slot. Pairing Cooper Carbine or MP40 with this Marksman Rifle will make the loadout more potent, and the secondary will help in handling both close to mid-distance gunfights with ease. Our Cooper Carbine loadout focuses on a long-range assault rifle build.

To swap between the weapons faster, Amped is the go-to. Faster switching between weapons will help in getting an edge over other players. Combat scout briefly highlights the whole team when an enemy player is shot.

Stim (Modern Warfare)

As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. The Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby and plan the next gunfight strategy. Throwing knives as lethal can be a backup in a close gunfight; it has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. Proximity Mine can be opted out for throwing knives to watch flank when stationary.
