Best Slayer Tier List in Dead Island 2
Do remember, even the best Slayer might not come in handy for you if you cannot catch a grip. Enough talking; let’s hop in already.
Tier | Characters |
---|---|
S-Tier (Best) | Ryan |
A-Tier (Good) | Dani, Jacob |
B-Tier (Average) | Amy, Carla, Bruno |
S-Tier
Ryan
Ryan is a literal tank with high Toughness, decent Stamina, Health Recovery, and Resilience. He lacks Agility, making him slow on the draw. His offensive abilities are strong, with jump kicks that send Zombies flying.
This hunky muscleman has some impressive moves that come in handy when taking on hordes of zombies. Ryan’s Innate Skill, Retaliation, gives him a force boost when he uses a block or dodges to evade an attack. Additionally, Ryan’s Seesaw skill allows him to regenerate health whenever he takes down a zombie.
A-Tier
Dani
Dani is skilled in hand-to-hand combat against large groups. She has high Stamina, Peak Health, and Toughness, which allows her to hold the ground for a longer period of time. However, her health regeneration is slow, so she needs to use Med Packs and recovery Skill Cards to recover. As Heavy Attacks are her strength, Thunderstruck skill card makes them even more powerful.
Her aggressive nature and skills make her a great choice for players who prefer a head-on fight with the undead. Her Bloodlust skill allows her to regain health when she takes out multiple zombies one after another, while her Thunderstruck ability triggers a forceful explosion during heavy attacks.
Jacob
Jacob is a well-balanced Slayer than the other ones, and that is a fact. Well, keeping balance certainly brings him being the third-best slayer after Dani. JacoResilience defensive abilities but low Resilience. However, there are Skill Cards that can help avoid Status Damage.
Jacob is fearless in fighting zombies. His innate skill, Feral, increases his damage output as he quickly attacks multiple zombies. Additionally, when Jacob’s stamina is low, he receives a boost to critical damage by using Critical Gains, and his successful critical hits recharge his stamina.
B-Tier
Amy
Amy is not as tough as the others, and on top of that, health is another issue. However, she excels in Agility and critical damage. This allows her to dash around zombies and deal significant damage. As she has low health, better you use ranged weapons or avoid getting hit to survive. However, being a Paralympic athlete, it’s no surprise that Amy possesses exceptional stamina.
She has two innate abilities that enhance her fighting skills. The first one, Relief Pitcher, allows her to regenerate energy every time she successfully throws a weapon. Her second ability, Divide & Conquer, offers a damage boost when attacking a zombie who strayed from the crowd.
Carla
Carla is tough and resilient. She can withstand a lot of damage from Status affected Zombies and is good at close combat. However, her Critical Damage is low, so she needs Skill Cards to boost her attacks. She has a high health recovery and deals more damage when surrounded by zombies. Unfortunately, this might not be the trump card to be the best slayer.
Her innate skill, DigResiliencewcases Carla’s Toughness, and Resilience, providing a moderate boost when her health is critical. This, coupled with her Mosh Pit ability, which offers a minor damage boost when surrounded by zombies, makes Carla an excellent choice for players who like to take on hordes of the undead head-on.
Bruno
Bruno is fast and can deal a lot of critical damage. But his low Peak Health seems to be holding him back, making him vulnerable to attacks. It’s best to use stealthy tactics and avoid loud weapons when playing as him. His starting abilities aren’t great, as his boosts to Agility and Heavy Attack Charges don’t feel quite fitting for him.
His Backstab ability is particularly useful for players who enjoy a more strategic approach to combat, as it allows them to take down enemies from behind with greater ease. In addition, his Rapid Reprisal skill makes him a formidable opponent in close combat, as he can quickly dodge or block attacks and retaliate with swift and powerful strikes.
