Pyro Characters in Genshin Impact deal Fire damage to their enemies. They draw their powers from the Pyro Archon named Murata. You can either pair them with other Pyro characters to create Elemental Resonance, which essentially increases the effectiveness of the Elemental damage. Or you can pair them with characters with other elemental affinities such as Cryo, Electro, Hydro to create Elemental reactions like Melt, Vaporize, Overloaded, and so on. As of writing, Genshin Impact has introduced up to 10 playable Pyro characters in 2022.
Amber
Amber is a 4-star Pyro character and a Bow-wielder based in Mondstadt. She is also the very first person to join your party. Her Explosive Puppet Elemental Skill allows her to release the Baron Bunny, which taunts enemies, lures them towards it, and then explodes to take down enemies caught within the parameter of the explosion. Moreover, her Elemental Burst rains down a bunch of fire arrows, dealing Pyro damage to enemies within the area of effect. She’s probably the weakest character in the game and is only good for clearing puzzles.
Bennett
Bennett is a 4-star Pyro character in Genshin Impact who uses a Sword in battle. He is also one of the most popular support characters in the game. Through his Passive Overlord Elemental Skill, Bennett is able to imbue his sword with fire and lands swift strikes to enemies that deal Pyro damage. Diluc
Diluc is a 5-star Pyro user and a Claymore-wielder. He is also one of the hardest hitters in the game. She is based in Liyue and the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, and the first and only character in Genshin Impact who consumes their own HP to perform Elemental Skills. Through her Guide to Afterlife Elemental Skill, Hu Tao can enter the Paramita Papilio State that boosts her attack damage and converts it into Pyro damage.

Klee
Next, we have Klee, who is another 5-star Pyro character and a Catalyst user. She is a bombing expert. Her Jumpty Dumpty Elemental Skill allows her to throw a Humpty-dumpty-shaped bomb at enemies that explode upon contact. The debris then forms into eight landmines, causing nearby enemies to explode when they step on it. It is very effective for dealing Pyro damage over a large area. Moreover, her elemental burst is another bomb that lights everything ablaze for ten seconds and is great for crowd control by dealing AoE Pyro Damage. She can be used as the Sub DPS for your team.
Thoma
Thoma is a 4-star Pyro character and Polearm user in Genshin Impact. Although he is originally from Mondstadt, he currently resides in Inazuma, working as the Kamisato Clan’s housekeeper. Through his elemental skill, he is able to summon a Blazing Barrier that helps him absorb Pyro DMG up to 250% more effectively. Through her Elemental Skill, Xiangling is able to summon a small panda-bear hybrid named Guoba, who can breathe fire like dragons and torch enemies over a small area of effect. Moreover, through her Elemental Burst, she can cause a fire imbued tornado with the swing of her polearm, dealing Pyro damage over a large area.
Xinyan
Xinyan is another 4-star Pyro character who wields a Claymore. In addition to that, she is also a musician based in Liyue. Her Sweeping Fervor Elemental Skill allows her to blast fire with the strum of her guitar, dealing Pyro damage to nearby enemies. Moreover, it also provides her with a protective shield that resonates like sound vibrations, blowing enemies away from her. Furthermore, through her elemental burst, she can cause fire to come blasting from the ground with the strum of her guitar, dealing AoE Pyro damage and Physical damage to enemies across a large radius. Xinyan can be played as the Main DPS of your party.
Yanfei
Yanfei is also a 4-star Pyro character but is a Catalyst user. She’s a legal advisor based in Liyue. Her Signed Edict Elemental Skill allows her to blast fire, dealing Pyro damage to enemies across a large area. Moreover, it also earns her the maximum number of scarlet seals if she manages to hit enemies. Her Elemental Burst also works in a similar fashion. Yanfei can be used as the main DPS of your team if you are lacking stronger alternatives.
Yoimiya
Yoimiya is a 5-star Pyro character and a bow-user in Genshin Impact. She is the current proprietor of Inazuma’s Naganohara Fireworks and was introduced as part of the Tapestry of Golden Flames event wish banner. Her Niwabi Fire Dance elemental skill allows her to shoot Blazing arrows that deal Pyro damage to enemies when hit. Moreover, through her elemental burst, she can ignite a bunch of fireworks that deal Pyro damage across a large area, and can also mark a single enemy with Aurous Blaze that makes the enemies explode upon being hit. You can use her as your team’s sub-DPS.
