PPSh-41 is one of the best S.M.Gs in Warzone. Dominating Caldera will be a breeze with this weapon. Here’s an in-depth guide on creating the perfect loadout for PPSh-41.
There are multiple variations of PPSh-41 in Warzone right now. The first is from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and the second is from Call of Duty: Vanguard. Both of them are equally viable in Warzone. But Vanguard’s PPSh-41 is the better counterpart of the weapon and is one of the best S.M.G.s after MP40.
The PPSh-41 did receive stealth nerf that reduced its damage values. But it was fixed later on with the February 24th update for Warzone. The weapon from Vanguard boasts a high fire rate, huge magazine, improved accuracy, and better recoil control. PPSh-41’s first edition was integrated into Warzone with Black Ops Cold War. However, with the launch of Vanguard, its popularity decreased.
Vanguard’s PPSh-41 is popular due to its potential in close and mid-range gunfights. In the current Warzone meta, it is an excellent option for rush playstyle. Moreover, the ground loot version of the weapon is more than capable of wiping out a squad in a gunfight. It becomes one of the strongest weapons in the game with the right build.
How to unlock the PPSh-41 in CoD Warzone
The PPSh-41 is part of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s weapon pool. It is a sub-machine gun (S.M.G.), an unlockable weapon available after reaching level 51. It is part of the post-launch weapon line available to all players from day one.
The best tip to leveling up in Call of Duty: Warzone is to spend more time in-game. Experience (XP) system in Warzone is pretty straightforward. The more time you spend in-game, the more XP you will gain. Additionally, completing daily and weekly challenges will provide extra XP, which will be helpful to level it up faster. After unlocking and leveling it up quickly, players can choose from various attachments.
Best PPSh-41 Loadout
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: ZAC 300MM
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Magazine: 8mm Nambu 71 Round Mag
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Perk 1: Tight Grip
- Perk 2: Quick
Recoil Buster is a must for all Vanguard guns. It increases the fire rate while slightly reducing accuracy. ZAC 300 mm barrel offers increased bullet velocity and range with better recoil control. However, it reduces hip-fire accuracy, aiming down sight and movement speed.
For optic, Slate Reflector is the better option. It is a small rectangular sight that provides 1.35x magnification and precision sight picture. As for the stock, Removed Stock is the best option for a faster movement that will make rush gunfights easier, providing hip-fire accuracy, and increased sprint to fire speed.
As for perks, the first choice of perk is Tight Grip. It increases accuracy and recoil during sustained fire. The second perk is Quick; it slightly increases sprint speed while wielding the weapon. Pine Tar Grip provides better recoil control and hip-fire accuracy. Mark VI Skeletal underbarrel provides faster aim down sight speed.
8mm Nambu 71 Round Mag is a huge magazine; it provides increased ammunition and increases recoil control, accuracy, and fire rate. However, it reduces movement speed, bullet penetration, movement speed, bullet velocity, and range. Hollow Point is the choice of ammunition that does increase damage to limbs with a decreased damage range.
Best Equipment & Perks for PPSh-41 Loadout
- Secondary: Cooper Carbine (Vanguard) or Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
- Tactical: Stim (Modern Warfare), or Heartbeat Sensor (Modern Warfare)
- Lethal: Throwing knives (Modern Warfare), or Claymore (Modern Warfare)
- Perk – 1: Quick Fix, or E.O.D
- Perk – 2: Overkill
- Perk – 3: Amped, or Combat Scout
Quick Fix is the ideal perk for players constantly engaging in gunfights, enabling health regeneration when an enemy is killed. Opting for E.O.D. is also feasible to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.
Overkill as the second perk is a must. Players can carry an extra primary weapon in the secondary slot. Pairing Cooper Carbine or Kar98k with this S.M.G. will make the loadout more potent, and the secondary will help in handling both long to mid-distance gunfights with ease. Our Cooper Carbine loadout focuses on a long-range assault rifle build.
To swap between the weapons faster, Amped is the go-to. Faster switching between weapons will help in getting an edge over other players. Combat scout briefly highlights the whole team when an enemy player is shot.
As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby and plan the next gunfight strategy.
Throwing knives as lethal can be a backup in a close gunfight; it has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. Claymore can be opted out for throwing knives to watch flank when stationary.
All the latest PPSh-41 Buffs & Nerfs
PPSh-41 did not receive any significant nerfs or buffs. In season 1, PPSh-41 was shadow nerfed; the damage values were decreased. However, the shadow nerfs created a bug, increasing the damage values from their intended values.
The bug was fixed in the February 24th update that decreased its damage values. On the other hand, it received a slight buff, and the neck damage multiplier was slightly increased. In addition, the neck damage multiplier increases the time to kill if the shots register around the neck area.
- Neck Damage Multiplier increased to 1.3, up from 1.1.
Other Alternatives to the PPSh-41 in the Current Meta
Other alternatives to PPSh-41 in the current meta is STG44 (Vanguard) and MP40 (Vanguard). STG44 is an A.R.; it is a long-range beamer and, in the same way, also performs as a close-range support weapon. MP40 is also a solid choice with a high fire rate, and it has a very low time to kill in close-range gunfights.
