Serpentine perk has been causing a stir in Warzone since the start of Season 4. However, players can easily counter the perk using a simple M13 loadout. Here’s an in-depth guide to creating the best M13 loadout to dish out serpentine perk’s effect.
Perks are unique to Call of Duty games. They act as bonus capabilities providing players with various enhanced abilities. Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games decided to add a new perk named Serpentine to Warzone and Vanguard with the Season 3 Reloaded update.
After its inclusion in Warzone, the perk has become a reason significant annoyance. The perk was initially designed as an antidote for Sniper Rifles, reducing incoming damage vastly while sprinting. However, players are abusing this perk by manipulating the sprinting buff and bailing from gunfights taking little to no damage.
The community, pros, and content creators branded the perk as the worst addition to Warzone. Furthermore, killing players equipped with the serpentine perk in long-range gunfights has become difficult. But surprisingly, the perk can be countered easily using an M.W. perk.
How to Counter The Serpentine Perk
The first and most essential step is to use a weapon from M.W. and equip Frangible – Disabling perk. The best weapon for this job is the M13. It is currently the best Assault Rifle from M.W.’s weapon pool, boasting an excellent fire rate and long-range damage capabilities. Moreover, the weapon has been the most picked A.R. since the launch of Warzone.
Best M13 Loadout
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel: Tempus Marksman
- Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
- Ammunition: 50 Round Mags
- Perk: Frangible – Disabling
This is the current meta loadout for M13. The monolithic suppressor increases damage over long-range. Furthermore, it provides added suppression. The frangible-disabling perk manages to slow enemies down as they are down. Additionally, hitting the legs of their opponents with this perk equipped can ultimately make them immobile.
Raven Software has yet to make an official statement regarding the Serpentine perk. However, judging by the state of the perk and the reaction from the community, the perk might get heavily nerfed in future updates to balance the game and time-to-kill situation properly.
