Based on the Knorr-Bremse m/40, the KG M40 is the counterpart of the Bruen MKII from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is a Swedish-made Automatic Rifle suitable for 7.92×57mm Mauser ammunition. This gas-operated chain-fed weapon has a vicious fire rate and damage output, making it easy to dominate long-range gunfights.
The weapon was added into the game with the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard season 2. It was in tier 15 of the battle pass. It quickly became a meta AR for Warzone. The weapon soon took the place of Bruen with almost the same configuration as the gun was able to deal more damage at long ranges. The Cooper Carbine is its only rival in terms of stats as other ARs from Vanguard’s weapon pool are comparatively weaker.
The KG M40 was buffed and nerfed simultaneously with the Season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune Reloaded update. The weapon has excellent accuracy and control after the buff. At the same time, the weapon and its combination with the Tight Grip perk have been nerfed heavily.

Another feature players might want to improve with the KG M40 is the number of bullets they can shoot before reloading. That’s where the 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drum enters the picture. However, players’ aim-down sights speed, movement speed, and reload speed will decrease in exchange for the extra bullets. They can also increase the velocity of every bullet by inserting Lengthened into the ammunition slot, and because there are no disadvantages, it’s a perfect combination.
Fully Loaded is a perfect fit here as it provides the most ammunition, especially when combined with the 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drum. The second perk must be a Tight Grip, which improves accuracy and recoil control while firing continuously.

Like every Assault Rifle, the rear grip for KG M40 should be the Hatched Grip. It provides flinch resistance, recoil stability, and accuracy during a sustained fire with no additional debuffs. Paired with the VOD 22G Padded, this Assualt Rifle will become more manageable in the recoil department. Players can also use the M1941 Hand Stop for extra recoil control buffs, and there are no noticeable downsides because they are not using this weapon for its hip-fire accuracy.

The KG M40 received nerfs with the Season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune Reloaded update. The weapon’s head locational multiplier was decreased and on the other hand its neck locational damage multiplier was increased.
