Best Class for Beginners in Diablo 4Barbarian is One of the Best ClassOther Classes to Consider

Diablo 4, much like all the previous Diablo games, is an A-RPG. This time the game is set in an open world for the player to explore and quest. You will go through a brand new campaign in this game and reach the endgame. Then you can start to deck out your character with higher-level gears and take on the endgame activities.

Right now, at the release, Diablo 4 has five different playable classes. These are Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Each of these classes has its own unique ability and unique way of tackling the game’s content. But being different from each other by a significant margin, some of the class will do better than others.

Again, some classes may work out to be suitable for a Diablo veteran, but beginners will have a hard time with their limited knowledge of the game. But one thing is for sure, all the classes in this game are fun to play. So, don’t force yourself to play the best-recommended class if you want to play another one. That being said, here we will discuss the best class to play in Diablo 4 for beginners.

Best Class for Beginners in Diablo 4

Even though Diablo is a long-running franchise, the last Diablo game was released 11 years ago. So the new Diablo 4 is more focused on building a unique fanbase for the game. A lot of new players are joining the Diablo game for the first time.

And without much knowledge, starting a class you will not enjoy is always a possibility. This guide will tell you which classes are best for a beginner to this franchise and what classes you should consider if you are new to the game.

Barbarian is One of the Best Class

Even though Barbarian was less than ideal in Diablo 4 beta, this class has received significant changes since then. This is one of the best classes in Diablo 4 at all stages. New and Veteran, both types of players, can easily pick up a barbarian class and do good at any point in the game.

Even in the end game, Barbarian is one of the best class. This class, even though it doesn’t have the highest damage potential, has a mixed skillset. So between the taunt, the damage reduction, and the high-damage attacks, Barbarian stands at the top of all classes.

This class is also easy to understand and doesn’t need as much theory crafting and skill/gear management as some of the other classes. So if you are a new player looking to play a less demanding class that will do well at every point of the game, this is the class for you.

Other Classes to Consider

Even though Barbarian is the most beginner-friendly class available, you may not like the look or want to play a ranged character instead. This section is for you. Here we will go through each of the other classes to point out why you can or cannot play it as a beginner player.

Sorcerers are the next good class right after Barbarian. They have high-damage spells and a ranged skillset that can do damage from safety. Even though the damage is really good for sorcerers, they are pretty fragile. So, you need to be careful of your surroundings while playing this class. Also, there are many enemies that can deflect projectiles, so you will have to get up close and personal with them if you want to defeat them.

Necromancer is a pretty unique class as they can raise the dead to fight by their side. Even though the summoning can be fun, the class itself is not too friendly for a beginner player. They have the potential to be good, but the slow speed and reliability on their summon will hurt a new player if they want to be a badass demon slayer in Diablo 4.

Rouge is pretty similar to Sorcerers in playstyle. Even though their skillset is completely different, both have high damage skills, with Rough being the mobility-focused fragile character. For a beginner, you may struggle before you learn the ropes with Rough class because it relies on mobility to avoid damage. But if you really like this class, you can still play and have a good time.

Druid has the most potential in Diablo 4 but is not beginner-friendly. They have high-damage attacks and heal. But as a trade-off, their playstyle is pretty slow. You will need a high level of game knowledge to do well in the late game with this class. Since the game is pretty new, people are still figuring out this class. But in theory, this class can nuke an entire room if set up properly.
