The CR-56 AMAX is one of Modern Warfare’s most powerful Assault Rifles, and this fully automatic weapon shines in the current Warzone meta. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on creating the optimal loadout for the CR-56 AMAX in Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded.
Based on the IMI Galil, the CR-56 AMAX is the counterpart of the FARA-83 from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. It is an Israeli-made Automatic Rifle suitable for the 7.62×39mm NATO ammunition. This gas-operated rotating bolt weapon has a vicious fire rate and damage output, making it easy to dominate long-range gunfights.
The weapon was added into the game with the launch of Modern Warfare season 4. It was in tier 31 of the battle pass. It quickly became a meta AR for Warzone. The weapon soon took the place of Grau 5.56 with almost the same configuration as the gun was able to deal more damage at long ranges. The M4A1 was its only rival in terms of stats as other ARs from Modern Warfare’s weapon pool were comparatively weaker.
The weapon was nerfed with the season 4 update of Cold War. The nerf was imminent to make space for the A.R.s from Cold War in the Warzone meta. The nerf did not reduce its popularity in any way.

The CR-56 AMAX was introduced in the Season Four Battle Pass and has become one of Warzone’s most popular weapons. Players who began playing after Season 4 can still obtain the AMAX by completing the following in-game challenge:
Get 3 gunbutt kills in 15 different matches while using Assault Rifles.
A useful tip would be to use a stun grenade, as stun grenades can provide an advantage the players will need to unleash a barrage of strikes without being shot down. Equip the Double Time perk to lengthen sprint and the Fast Melee perk to the preferred Assault Rifle. The VLK 3.0x Optic is required for acquiring a higher zoom level, offering players a better advantage while shooting from a distance at the expense of somewhat slower ADS speed. Meanwhile, the Commando Foregrip keeps the rifle steady when aiming down sight and shooting, allowing players to eliminate opponents from afar easily.
While these attachments may increase ADS speed, we believe the trade-off is worth it, especially when it comes to landing those crucial ranged head and body shots. The AMAX’s Upper Torso Damage multiplier was reduced, so nailing headshots is critical to maximizing overall TTK.
Finally, the 45 Round Mags provides gamers with enough rounds to eliminate even the most heavily armored opponents. Having the additional bullets will also spare them from having to reload every second, so equip this attachment to avoid any disappointing fatalities.

As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. The Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby and plan the next gunfight strategy. Throwing knives as lethal can be a backup in a close gunfight. It has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. The CR-56 AMAX was nerfed with the Vanguard Season 3 Reloaded update. The max and min damage was decreased, which did affect the time to kill to the slightest fraction as the weapon still retained its popularity.
