Halls of Torment has a few characters for you to choose from. Here is the best character we have found in the game.
Halls of Torment takes inspiration from Diablo and Vampire Survivors and mixes them together. The gameplay feels similar to the Vampire Survivors, but there is a lot more equipment, and the build is similar to any ARPG, like the Diablo series.
Halls of Torment is a game where you choose a character and try to survive and take down the boss at the end of the time limit. Having different characters means some are better than others. Each of the characters starts with different weapons and perks. Then as you level up, you can get more items.

Best Character to Play in Halls of Torment
Most of the characters you play in this game are pretty strong. So it is hard to decide on one single character to be the best in the game. Many people consider the shieldmaiden to be the best because of her good attack and defense stat mixture. We have also seen people arguing that the Archer is the best class in the game because of her high attack speed and damage.
Pick Shieldmaiden for Balanced Play
To be honest, almost all the classes can be good with the right build in Halls of Torment. Shieldmaiden stands out from the rest because of her crazy defense. If you are a new player to the game or someone who enjoys a tanky character with lots of damage, this character will be the best in the game in that regard.
No other character has as much base defense as the shieldmaiden. And in damage, she can be comparable to the other characters. So either way, shieldmaiden is one of the best characters the game has to offer to the player.
Pick Archer for Crazy Damage
No one can argue that Archer has the most damage in Halls of Torment. Archer, as the name suggests, uses arrows in a cone-shaped attack. But what makes her more powerful is that these arrows are pierced through enemies and travel quite far. So you will be taking out enemies from far before they can even reach you.
Even if it sounds already broken, there is actually more to her than that. The Archer has a crazy high attack speed. And the attacks also deal quite a lot of damage. Compared to the Shieldmaiden, Archer does a lot more damage but doesn’t have the extra defense stat Shieldmaiden offer.
By the end of the game, you will become a machine gun that shoots arrows from all directions if you can build your Archer properly.
