Bren is the notorious hard-hitting weapon from Call of Duty: Vanguard. It is Warzone Pacific’s most picked L.M.G. Here’s an in-depth guide to creating the perfect loadout for Bren.
Long-range gunfights have always been a part of the battle royale meta. In Warzone Pacific, it is no different. Long-range gunfights with sniper rifles, assault rifles, and L.M.G.s have been part of the meta since the inception of the game. The Bren is a superior L.M.G., an excellent choice for taking long-range gunfights in Rebirth Island and Caldera.
Bren was nerfed with the start of Warzone Pacific season 2. The gun dominated long-range gunfights with its low recoil and high damage multiplier. It became balanced after the nerf, but still, the weapon has a low time to kill even with the reduced damage multiplier. Even though it was nerfed, it is still a viable pick to dominate Caldera and Rebirth Island with ease.
There is no gun with similar features as the Bren in the game right now. It is one of the most potent guns from Vanguard’s weapon pool. Its popularity is courtesy of a perfect combination of great damage range, low recoil, and a huge amount of ammo and firepower at disposal.

How to unlock the Bren in CoD Warzone
Bren is a part of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s weapon pool. It is a light machine gun (L.M.G.), an unlockable weapon available after reaching level 51. It is part of the post-launch weapon line available to all players from day one. It will take some serious grinding to unlock as it is almost close to the max player level of Warzone.
The best tip to leveling up in Call of Duty: Warzone is to spend more time in-game. Experience (XP) system in Warzone is pretty straightforward. The more time you spend in-game, the more XP you will gain. Additionally, completing daily and weekly challenges will provide extra XP, which will be helpful to level it up faster. After unlocking and leveling it up quickly, players can choose from various attachments.
Best Bren Loadout
- Muzzle: MX Silencer
- Barrel: Queen’s 775m Scepter
- Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
- Stock: Hockenson SP2B
- Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: 6.5 Sakura 40 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Perk 1: Tight Grip
- Perk 2: On-Hand
MX Silencer is a must for all Vanguard assault rifles or L.M.G.s. It provides better horizontal and vertical recoil control along with sound suppression. Queen’s 775m Scepter barrel offers improved accuracy, control, flinch resistance while reducing scope sway and gun bob. However, it reduces aim down sight, movement, and sprint to fire speed.
For optics, SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x is the better option. It is a variable zoom telescopic scope with a magnification toggle of 3.0x and 6.0x magnification with increased accuracy. As for the stock, Hockenson SP2B is the go-to with increased accuracy and flinch resistance with reduced initial firing recoil and aiming stability.
As for perks, the first choice of perk is Tight Grip. It increases accuracy and recoil control during sustained fire. The second perk is On-Hand. It provides better equipment dexterity and less downtime after using any equipment. Taped Grip provides better-aiming stability and weapon swap quickness. M1941 Hand Stop Underbarrel provides better recoil control and accuracy while reducing hip-fire accuracy.
6.5 Sakura 40 Round Mags is the standard magazine. It provides increased recoil control, accuracy, aim-down sight speed, and fire rate. However, it reduces bullet penetration, damage, bullet velocity, and range. Lengthened is the choice of ammunition that increases bullet velocity.
Best Equipment & Perks for Bren Loadout
- Secondary: STG44 (Vanguard) or Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
- Tactical: Stim (Modern Warfare), or Heartbeat Sensor (Modern Warfare)
- Lethal: Throwing knives (Modern Warfare), or Claymore (Modern Warfare)
- Perk – 1: Quick Fix, or E.O.D
- Perk – 2: Overkill
- Perk – 3: Amped, or Combat Scout
Quick Fix is the ideal perk for players constantly engaging in gunfights, enabling health regeneration when an enemy is killed. Opting for E.O.D. is also feasible to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.
Overkill as the second perk is a must; players can carry an extra primary weapon in the secondary slot. Pairing STG44 or Kar98k with this L.M.G. will make the loadout more potent, and the secondary will help in handling both long to mid-distance gunfights with ease. Our STG44 loadout focuses on a mid-range assault rifle build.
To swap between the weapons faster, Amped is the go-to. Faster switching between weapons will help in getting an edge over other players. Combat scout briefly highlights the whole team when an enemy player is shot.
As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby and plan the next gunfight strategy. Throwing knives as lethal can be a backup in a close gunfight. It has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. Claymore can be opted out for throwing knives to watch flank when stationary.
