Best Automaton Loadout for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded

The Automaton is the fastest firing Assault Rifle from Call of Duty: Vanguard’s weapon pool. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial to create the best loadout for Automaton in Warzone Season 5 Last Stand Reloaded.

The Automaton is one of the most popular Assault Rifles in the Warzone meta, and it’s a terrific pick for anyone looking for a reliable option, primarily due to its efficiency. It’s devastating at nearly any range and fires quickly, drawing parallels to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Grau 5.56.

The Automaton might not have the best time to kill in the Assault Rifle category, but the weapon is easy to use with a high fire rate. Low recoil paired with its fire rate, this Assault Rifle is an absolute powerhouse capable of easily dominating mid-range to long-range engagements.

The weapon was nerfed with the integration of Vanguard’s weapon pool in Warzone. Automaton’s magazine attachments were nerfed significantly. Players using larger magazines on the Automaton were subjected to a movement penalty. Later on, the Automaton was secretly buffed with the Season 3 update of Vanguard. Also, the release of Cooper Carbine provided competition for Automaton.

How to unlock the Automaton in CoD Warzone

The Automaton is part of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s weapon pool. It is an Assault Rifle (A.R.), an unlockable weapon available after reaching level 8. It is part of the post-launch weapon line available to all players from day one. Most players will have the gun unlocked by playing a few Warzone matches.

The best tip for leveling up in Call of Duty: Warzone is to spend more time in-game. The experience (XP) system in Warzone is pretty straightforward. The more time you spend in-game, the more XP you will gain. Additionally, completing daily and weekly challenges will provide extra XP, which will be helpful to level it up faster. After unlocking and leveling it up quickly, players can choose from various attachments.

Best Automaton Loadout

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Anastasia Sniper
  • Optic: M38/Slate 2.5x Custom
  • Stock: ZAC Skeletal
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk 1: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

The Anastasia Sniper increases Automaton’s bullet velocity, overall range, and accuracy. Most players are not going to shoot without aiming down the sights, so the decrease in hip fire accuracy is not a big problem. By equipping the Slate 2.5x Custom, players can acquire more precision and recoil control at the expense of aim down sight speed.

Another feature that players might want to improve with the Automaton is the number of bullets they can shoot before reloading. That’s where the 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drums enter the picture. However, players’ aim-down sights speed, movement speed, and reload speed will all decrease in exchange for the extra bullets. They can also increase the velocity of every bullet by inserting Lengthened into the ammunition slot, and because there are no disadvantages, it’s a perfect combination.

Fully Loaded is a perfect fit here as it provides the most ammunition, especially when combined with the Sakura 75 Round Drums. The second perk must be Tight Grip, which improves accuracy and recoil control while firing continuously.

Players after equipping the MX Silencer will gain sound suppression, additional accuracy buffs, and a faster aim-down sight speed. The ZAC Skeletal is helpful if players strafe while aiming, and it also provides a significant boost to recoil control during the first few rounds.

Like every other Assault Rifle, the rear grip for Automaton should be the Polymer Grip. It provides flinch resistance, recoil stability, and accuracy during a sustained fire with no additional debuffs. Paired with the ZAC Skeletal, this Assualt Rifle will become more manageable in the recoil department. Players can also use the M1941 Hand Stop for extra recoil control buffs, and there are no noticeable downsides because they are not using this weapon for its hip-fire accuracy.

Best Equipment and Perks for Automaton Loadout

  • Secondary: Owen Gun (Vanguard) or Kar98k (Modern Warfare)
  • Tactical: Stim (Modern Warfare), or Heartbeat Sensor (Modern Warfare)
  • Lethal: Throwing knives (Modern Warfare), or Claymore (Modern Warfare)
  • Perk – 1: Quick Fix, or E.O.D
  • Perk – 2: Overkill
  • Perk – 3: Amped, or Combat Scout

Quick Fix is the ideal perk for players constantly engaging in gunfights, enabling health regeneration when an enemy is killed. Opting for E.O.D. is also feasible to take less damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire.

Overkill as the second perk is a must; players can carry an extra primary weapon in the secondary slot. Pairing Owen Gun or Kar98k with this A.R. will make the loadout more potent, and the secondary will help in handling both mid to close-range gunfights with ease. Our Owen Gun loadout focuses on a close-range S.M.G. build.

To swap between the weapons faster, Amped is the go-to. Faster switching between weapons will help in getting an edge over other players. Combat scout briefly highlights the whole team when an enemy player is shot.

As for tactical, stim gives an instant health regeneration upon use. The Heartbeat sensor can help track other players roaming nearby and plan the next gunfight strategy. Throwing knives as lethal can be a backup in a close gunfight. It has a one-shot potential on players with a minimal level of armor. Moreover, after downing a player, immediately throwing a knife will eliminate the player regardless of the range it’s thrown from. Claymore can be used instead of throwing knives to watch flank when stationary.

All the latest Automaton Buffs and Nerfs

The Automaton was nerfed along with the Bren in the December 15, 2021 update. The weapon is balanced all around, but certain attachments make the gun unbalanced in gunfights.

The 75 round mag was causing balancing issues. Players were abusing the huge ammo count in gunfights. For balancing purposes, the magazine was nerfed during the integration of Vanguard’s weapon pool into Warzone. Players using the 74 round mag were subjected to a movement penalty.

It was later balanced with the February 14, 2021 update. The Empress 620 mm Precision was buffed. When equipped, the attachment significantly increased the bullet velocity of the gun.

Weapon Adjustment

  • Empress 620mm Precision
    • Now decreases ADS Speed by 6%
    • Now increases Bullet Velocity by 30%
