Battlefield 2042 Beta requirements announced

The official Battlefield 2042 system requirements have been announced for its upcoming beta.

The much-awaited Battlefield 2042 beta is soon upon us. Taking place from August 12 to August 15. Hence to prepare the excited gamers, EA has revealed the official Battlefield 2042 requirements along with the Beta dates to selected community members, via email. Therefore this ‘technical playtest’ will take place in a closed and controlled environment protected by NDA. And we will not see any gameplay videos. If someone does not leak it anyways that is.

By the looks of it both the minimum and recommended system requirements for Battlefield 2042 seem quite reasonable. If not impressive considering the chaos that unfolds in this all-out war series. For the processor, the minimum requirement is as low as an AMD FX-8350 or an Intel Core i5 6600K, and a GPU of AMD Radeon RX 560/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. That is to say, Battlefield 2042 Beta needs a minimum GPU power of 4GB video memory.

On the other hand, the recommended is not too high either. A processor of Ryzen 5 3600/i7 4790 is enough with a GPU equivalent to  Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equal. Although right now even these GPUs are hard to find.

The complete Battlefield 2042 Beta system requirements are:

As far as we’ve seen Battlefield 2042 sounds like a comeback for the good old Battlefield days. Compare the system requirements and prepare your PC for the beta. That is if you’re one of the lucky ones. Even if the recommended or minimum requirements don’t match, there’s nothing to worry you’re PC will still be able to run the game with a good frame rate after tweaking some settings. Just not the way DICE recommends it to be. In the final build, the game will be better optimized and hence run better.
