Innersloth’s Among us reached half billion players in November 2020.
2020 has not been a great year for everyone, but it has for Innersloth. Among Us has reached a new peak this year, and its player base is increasing each day. Among Us won two Awards this year at Game Awards 2020. Not only that, but it is now also playable on Nintendo Switch with a new map coming soon as well.
The game blew up on the internet after some Twitch streamers started playing it. Recently research by SuperData implied that Among Us has peaked Half-Billion players in November 2020. The site named it as “by far the most popular game ever in terms of monthly players.”

Among Us has blown past Fortnite(350 Million), RuneScape (280 Million) this month in the context of monthly players. Moreover, it is looking to beat Minecraft (600 million) and Pubg ( 636 MIllion) after hitting half-billion players last month.
Superdata also concluded that Among us generated 64% of its revenue from PC which accounts for only 3% of the total player base. This shows that even though it has a huge player base most of its revenue comes from people paying for it since it is free on mobile.
Although it has been released on Nintendo Switch recently and an Xbox version is seemingly in work too. So the revenue might be getting a boost soon, acknowledging how it has blown up since August. It is astounding to see how it has peaked in the last four months from barely 100 to millions of players now. Hopefully, Innersloth makes this last long with new and more content to look up to.
