Plague Tale: Requiem has been announced today at E3 2021 bringing a sequel to the 2019 action-adventure game.
The game was announced earlier today in E3 2021. The Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 for short is the biggest video game event of the year and like all years before it, brings us a lot of exciting new Gameplay trailers and reveals. The event is typically held in Los Angeles but this year, the event has been held online. The game trailer showcase and announcements are all going to be streamed live so viewers can enjoy from the comfort of their homes. The event will go on from June 12th to June 15th.
Focus Interactive and Asobo Studies bring us the first trailer for Plague Tale Requiem. The trailer features in-game footage with the medieval rat-infested town from the first game. It initially shows a wave of rats coming straight for Amica then cuts straight to Hugo hinting that it might be a memory or a dream of him.
In the events of the first game, Amica and Hugo successfully defeated Vitalis, the leader of the Inquisition, and Hugo has discovered that he has a unique ability to control the rats. The new game might feature this ability or a more matured version of it but the sequel will probably stay true to its original action-adventure stealth nature.
The Game has no fixed release date yet but is confirmed to release some time in 2022.
The game will be available on Xbox Game pass from day 1 of its release next year.
