Battlefield is one of the most popular FPS games in the War genre, with it encompassing sci-fi futuristic warfare to old school WWI-WWII theme combat. Earlier today EA has announced they have been working on next generation Battlefield for the PC and Console to come out in the following months. They have also announced that they are developing something very special catering the mobile community aswell.
The popular shooter is to enter into the smartphone platform coming next year. DICE has said that they have been working on making the game streamlined and compatible for touchscreens. The game has allegedly been in development for years and now finally partnering with Industrial Toys they aim to release the game next year. This game promises to be different from all the other Battlefield games and be totally exclusive to mobile.
Oskar Gabrielson, General manager of DICE said “Make no mistake, this is a standalone game. A completely different game from the one we’re making for console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform. It’s being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience. This mobile game is now entering a testing period ahead of launching next year, so expect more details to come.”
