The 7-time classic Tetris world champion Jonas Neubauer has recently passed away due to a medical emergency.

Jonas Neubauer was an American professional Tetris player. He was the 7-time Classic Tetris World Championship winner and regarded as one of the best Tetris players in the world. Neubauer has been playing Tetris since the age of 6. He also holds the world record for 300k points world record speedrun which he completed accidentally.

The news of Jonas Neubauer’s passing was shared on his official Twitter page. The post delivered the news of Jonas passing away from a sudden medical emergency. it reads, “It’s with a heavy heart that we deliver the terrible news that Jonas has passed away from a sudden medical emergency. He was the absolute best. We are devastated, overwhelmed with grief, and we already miss him dearly. Information to follow when it becomes available.”

We still don’t know the exact reason but his wife Heather shared an announcement on Neubauer’s discord server. According to Heather, Jonas passed away on Tuesday night. He was in Hawaii at the time. During their second day, Jonas got up to get somethings and collapsed. He never regained consciousness after that.

Tetris also shared the news on their official Twitter page mourning the death of Jonas Neubauer.

He inspired many people to try out the classic Tetris and was well renowned among the community. He used to stream Tetris on Twitch but was also a Bartender.
